Champion Award
Criteria
The Awards Committee shall be responsible for final selection of the
recipient of the award if one can be determined.
- The award will recognize an individual or group who
have had a positive impact on conservation agriculture
- Only one award will be presented in any year. If there
is a tie two awards may be given. If an appropriate candidate is
not identified then no award need be given in any year.
The Southern Conservation Agricultural Systems Champion Award is conferred
on individuals whose contribution has led to exceptional improvements
in conservation agriculture.
Criteria:
- Award Committee members shall not be eligible for
the award during their terms of office.
- Nominees should be widely recognized outside the southeast
and their state or province for their contributions to excellence
in conservation.
- The Southern Conservation Agricultural Systems Champion
Award will not be awarded to recognize longevity
Nomination Procedure:
Nominations shall be made by submitting information
requested in the application form (below).
The supporting material should include:
- Documentation of the individual's
achievements and contributions in narrative form, including significant
publications or products, presentations at professional meetings,
and other information, detailing the specific contributions
- Related awards received from other organizations
Selection:
- The Awards Committee will evaluate and rank nominations.
The Committee will then make a selection based on the nominations.
- No more than 2 awards will be presented per year.
