River of Words

River of Words

Winners of the third annual River of Words contest, which is sponsored in part by the AU College of Agriculture, have been announced.

A contest spokeswoman noted that entries in the 2005-2006 contest more than doubled from the previous year and included submissions from several new schools.

The contest is an exploration of the natural and cultural history of Alabama's waters, expressed through art and poetry. Students were judged on artistic ability and creative expression.

River of Words is sponsored by the Alabama Center for the Book, in collaboration with Alabama Water Watch, the Auburn University Environmental Institute, the College of Agriculture and the AU Libraries.
