AUBURN, Ala. — Former executive director of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association, E.H. Ham Wilson, will be one of three Alabama agricultural leaders inducted in the Auburn University Agriculture Hall of Honor in 1993. Wilson, along with Martin Moates, a farmer and cattleman from Coffee County, and Ben Hagler, long-time Extension horticulturist from Auburn, will be inducted into the prestigious group of state agricultural leaders during the annual meeting of the Alabama Agricultural Alumni Association to be held on campus on February 23.
Each year three distinguished leaders are selected from all areas of agriculture for membership in the Hall of Honor. Since its beginning in 1985, 24 Alabamians have been selected by the Executive Committee of the Ag Alumni Association into membership. Among the Hall of Honor members are Dennis Rouse, former dean of Auburn's College of Agriculture; current president of the Alabama Farmers Federation, Goodwin Myrick; and R.C. Red Bamburg, former Alabama commissioner of agriculture.
This year's initiates will be honored during the Auburn University Ag Alumni Association's annual banquet, which begins with a reception at 6:15 p.m., followed by dinner in the AU Hotel and Conference Center on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Those wishing to attend the banquet and help in honoring this year's initiates may purchase tickets by sending $20 per ticket to: Bill Alverson, Ag Alumni Association, 107 Comer Hall, Auburn University, AL 36849.
