A crops tour featuring information on soybeans, cotton and peanuts will be held at the Gulf Coast Research and Extension Center in Fairhope Tuesday, Sept. 11, beginning at 4 p.m.
Cosponsored by the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, the tour will offer the latest results of cotton variety tests and research updates on cotton boll rot and the use of growth regulators on cotton. Presentations also will be given on results of research on Asian rust in soybeans and peanut disease studies.
The event includes tours of research plots and opportunities for question-and-answer sessions with the scientists working on the projects. Dinner will be provided.
