AUBURN, Ala. — Ag Heritage Park on the campus of Auburn University will be the scene of a super-sized tailgate party Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to noon as the College of Agriculture and the AU Agricultural Alumni Association team up with John Deere and Milo’s Tea to host the 29th annual Taste of Alabama Agriculture and Fall Ag Roundup.
Held each fall onHomecoming Saturday, Ag Roundup features a wide range of foods that are grown and/or processed in Alabama, and for a $5 admission (for adults and children over 6), visitors can sample some of everything. More than 1,500 people attend the annual event.
In addition to the vast spread of food, Roundup will feature live entertainment, children’s activities and the always popular silent and live auctions. The silent auction will run from 9 to 10:15 a.m., followed by the live auction at 10:30 a.m. Auction proceeds go to fund College of Ag scholarships.
John Deere is a $10,000 corporate sponsor, 100 percent of which will be awarded in scholarships to ag majors at Auburn.
Ag Heritage Park is located on Samford Avenue, just across from the AU Athletic Complex.
