  • John (Qiang) Xu, Ph.D. 2007. Major Professor. Currently an assistant professor in the Department of Biology, Abilene Christian University, Abilene, TX. Dr. Xu’s dissertation was “Kdr-mediated mechanisms of pyrethroid resistance in the mosquito, Culex quinquefasciatus (S.)”.
  • Fang Zhu, Ph.D. 2007. Major Professor. Currently a research associate in the Department of Entomology, University of Kentucky, Lexington. Dr. Zhu’s dissertation was “Cytochrome P450-mediated insecticide resistance in the house fly, Musca domestica (L.)”.

  • Huqi Liu, Ph.D., 2005 Major Professor (Co-Advisor: Professor A. Guo). Currently an associate professor, Department of Biology, College of Life Sciences, Northwest A&F University, Yangling, China. Dr. Liu’s dissertation was “Mechanisms of insecticide resistance in mosquitoes, Aedes albopictus (S.) and Culex quinquefasciatus (S.)”.
  • Ting Li, M.S. 2008 Major Professor (Co-Advisor: Professor M. Wang). Currently a Ph.D. graduate student in the Liu Lab, Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology, AU. Ms. Li’s thesis was “The effect of proteinase inhibitors, SCPI-1 and SCPI-2, on the toxicity of permethrin to mosquitoes”.
