- John (Qiang) Xu, Ph.D. 2007. Major Professor. Currently an assistant professor in the Department of Biology, Abilene Christian University, Abilene, TX. Dr. Xus dissertation was Kdr-mediated mechanisms of pyrethroid resistance in the mosquito, Culex quinquefasciatus (S.).

Dr. Lius dissertation was Mechanisms of insecticide resistance in mosquitoes, Aedes albopictus (S.) and Culex quinquefasciatus (S.).
